Anthropic offers startups a year of Claude Team and $1,000 in API credits

Anthropic is offering eligible startups one year of Claude Team and $1,000 in API credits through an expanded program presented during SF Tech Week. The offer is aimed at companies building products with AI models, a group Anthropic says can bring AI’s benefits to more people. Startups must be no more than five years old or have received funding within the past two years to apply.

Who can apply

Applications are open through the Claude for Startups program page. Claude Team is Anthropic’s paid plan for teams.

Anthropic says supporting companies that build on its models is part of its mission, alongside working with startup founders and developers.

The bet behind the offer

I think the more interesting question is what startups can build with a year of team access and $1,000 in API credits once the offer ends. The announcement makes the support concrete, but says nothing about what happens to participating companies after those benefits run out.
